I run a research driven drawing practice that investigates my Black / African identity and cultural heritage. I stitch together the personal, the sentimental, the musical, the spiritual and the ancestral.

In both personal and commercial contexts, I work with archives (things like photographs, music videos, old passports, notes, newspaper articles, documentary footage and film) to inform my work’s visual language, characters, colour choices and tone; and I then combine these references to illustrate images whose narratives and visual nature become hybrid in process.
